Photography, where do I start. I was that kid who always had a disposable camera on hand. Years passed and I got busy with school and life, then being an adult (the annoying shit no one really wants to do but we all have to cause bills and what not). Somewhere along the way digital cameras became awesome. I was fortunate enough to meet a guy who had been a photographer for over 20 years. He took me under his wing and taught me the basics of photography. After spending some time gleaning all the information I possibly could from him I branched out on my own. Shortly there after I met an amazing fashion photographer from LA. He and I became quick friends and with his help my style and skills really emerged.
Then two very close friends of mine got engaged. They reached out to me and asked if I would photograph their Annapolis engagement photos downtown. Of course I agreed. About half way through the shoot I realized that I had a HUGE smile on my face. I felt exhilarated, hell this was awesome! It was at that moment that I realized that this was what I needed to do with my life. I began working with so many amazing couples. Capturing all of those special moments gave me such a feeling of fulfillment. Whether its wedding photography, family photography, or portraits, I just love doing it.
I shoot what I call "Love" photography. If it involves love, I want to photograph it! I take a very laid back approach to how I shoot weddings and couples in general. It's my goal to make you feel as comfortable as possible; like 3 friends hanging out and there just so happens to be a camera there. When I shoot weddings I do everything I can do to become part of the group, I even promise to make you laugh a few times! I've found that actually interacting with the wedding party, the guests, even the make up artist on a personal level helps to achieve truly genuine photos. Plus, everyone has an interesting story to tell and I love hearing them. I'm one of those people who can talk to anyone. I love immersing myself in the wedding day, this often ends up with me dancing at the reception with everyone else. And with my moves? Like I said, I promise to make you laugh. By the end of your wedding we will be like old friends. Don't we all need one more friend.
